About The Workshops, Inc.

The Workshops, Inc. (TWi) is a legally separate not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) organization incorporated in 1968 and served by a self-appointing board of trustees. The Workshops, under a contractual agreement with the Stark County Board of Developmental Disabilities, provides a comprehensive program of low cost Ohio labor and services.

TWi has three production facilities in Stark County with over 100,000 square feet of production and storage space so we can handle big and small jobs. All three workshop sites offer full functioning loading and receiving docks so picking up and delivering is not a problem.

Whipple Dale Center (WDC) is the largest of our three workshop sites and is located at 2950 Whipple Ave., N.W. in Canton. WDC serves 253 individuals providing them with a variety of work and vocational training opportunities from a diverse group of service and manufacturing based customers. The phone number is (330) 477-5200.

West Stark Center (WSC) is located in Massillon at 7891 Hills & Dales Rd., N.E. The newest of our three sites, WSC serves 146 individuals. WSC is home to SureShred, TWi's new document destruction operation, as well as an active crafts center that produces hundreds of hand-made gifts cards for all occasions. The phone number is (330) 479-3970.

Lester Higgins Adult Center (HG) is located at 3041 Cleveland Ave., South in Canton and is home to TWi's SureCycle computer recycling center. HG also houses TWi's Supported Employment operation, which employs people outside of the workshop setting. The phone number is (330) 484-4814.
